1) "What are the challenges organizations are facing in the Anthropocene?"
Anthropocene is an unofficial and undeclared unit of the geologic time which is used to illustrate the most recent timeframe or the period during which the activities of the human performed on this earth started to have a significant and considerable impact towards the climatic changes and alteration of the ecosystem. The word Anthropocene is derived from the Greek word anthropo which means man and cene is called as new. This word was discovered by the famous biologist Eugene Stormer and chemist Paul Crutzen in the year 2000.
Therefore, the various challenges that are faced by the organizations due to Anthropocene are climatic changes, depletion of the stratospheric ozone layer, usage of global freshwater, acidification of the ocean, loss in the biodiversity system, aerosol getting loaded in the atmosphere, interfering of the global phosphorous with the nitrogen cycles, chemical pollution and change in the land system. Thus, due to these changes there arise chances of other risks like rising levels of the sea due to climatic changes, increasing in the oceans acidity levels which not only impacts the marine diversity but impacts the human civilization and the animals near the sea levels (MATÍAS FRANCHINI, 2017).
