in organizations. Improvement in gender equity happens when collaborative leadership focuses on inclusive, diverse and respectful work environment. Women should have voice, equal opportunities and representation in decision-making processes. Collaborative leaders should engage in mentorship, create policies promoting work-life balance and address unconscious biases. It is important for breaking down traditional gender barriers and promote gender equity. Collaborative leadership can worsen gender equity, if it is not implemented in the effective way (Eagly & Heilman, 2016). It includes group dynamics that can inadvertently marginalize voices and this includes voices of women. Women are still facing stereotypes and biases that hinders the participation.
