Going through chapter seven of Ted Nace’s book Gangs of America: The Rise of
Corporate Power and the Disabling of Democracy an avid reader can come to learn how the
corporations in the United States gradually evolved into the most significant power centers of the
country and how the changing political system of the country helped the corporations to rise to
power within the country. By reading chapter seven of the book I came to understand that how
the engineers of the American political system intentionally created a framework of laws to keep
American corporations weak politically and how such framework was undermined afterward by
the ingenious maneuvers of Tom Scott and some other businessmen and lawyers along with
