Introduction
    Sustaining bioregionalism and diversity of
the ecosystem are some of the prominent segments over which, global efforts have been structured. In fact, the growth and development of the conceptual frameworks related to the bioregionalism are driven from the consumption in stable manner of the available natural resources as well as sustaining the historic cultural contexts of a particular region (Maloney, 2020). What makes this an important segment to analyse is the fact that the criteria of bioregionalism are not restricted to the biodiversity and ecosystem of a particular region. It expands from the theoretical application of the notions related to ecosystem to the history, culture and the degree of resilience that the local people have shown towards the changes in the social order. The following is an analysis of the bioregionalism which is founded over the field observations of the region namely Perth, Fremantle and ECOBURBIA.
Background
At first, it is important to note here that in the modern context—like all other nations at global level have shown—Australia is dominant enough to maintain its excellence in sustaining the concept of bioregionalism in various parts of the nation. However, the roles and responsibilities carried out by the local people, especially the efforts done to ensure alleviation of social, political and economical aspects of lives of indigenous communities living in regions like Perth, Fremantle and ECOBURBIA, becomes significant to examine. The standpoints that appear to be significant contributors in the process of sustaining ecosystem as well as cultural heritage of the region are how bioregional governance is taking place, how the cultural history of indigenous people is sustained and have been resilient enough towards the changes in the overall social evolution of the selected region as well as what works have been done with a view to restore the concept of highest degree of healthcare norms applied(Newman & Cabanek, 2020).
Topic Four: Ecosystem Health and Restoration
Perth
Ecological health restoration is one of the major challenges in the Perth region of Australia, since the regions are the most forward-looking face of growing urbanisation and industrialization. Despite the many statistics about urbanisation and urban growth, Perth strives to preserve resilience and adopt the characteristics of the bio-region. The one of the most iconic GONDWANA connection programme aims to direct the city's green skills restoration work by offering a vision of a reconnected, safe and resilient country in south-western Australia. The green skills implemented by the Gondwanaland project are mainly based on forest cooperation and its collaboration with the sterling link (Tyler et al, 2018).
In order to restore ecological connectivity in that specific part of the link, it aims to work with several large organisations, stakeholders and landholders. In order to direct the several regeneration activities and enable the landholders to fence off the bush lands and the wetlands, the initiated green skills have coordinated with several initiatives. While there are many steps followed, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to foster bioregionalism in the city as the constant challenge to it is growing urbanisation (Newman & Cabanek, 2020).
Fremantle
The strategy of Fremantle local adherents to the principles of the National Heritage Trust to conserve water salinity and efficiency is consistent with the basic principles of bioregionalism and resilience; the core system of social values adheres to the pre-designed policies of the 1992 Ecologically Sustainable Development Goals. Because of the coastal areas, which are rich in flora and fauna, the biodiversity of the region is related to the abundance of natural resources available to support the local culture and ecosystem (Gellie et al, 2018). Nevertheless, with the rapid development of industrialization, the preservation of the numerous national heritage sites reserved for the natural resource development.
Although the city of Fremantle belongs to the highly urbanised cities and built world, there are still habitats and ecosystems that sustain biodiversity. The protection and enhancement of habitat areas for local flora and fauna takes into account the biodiversity in Fremantle. On both public and private property, the cultivation of habitat for local flora and fauna is encouraged (Gellie et al, 2018). Given the different methods, there are still problems that need to be handled successfully in order to restore the health of the environment within the region. In order to increase the amount of vegetation cover and habitat, the creation of linkages is important (Gellie et al, 2018).
ECOBURBIA
ECOBURBIA's local governing bodies have recently taken one step forward to ensure that ecological service request systems are strengthened in line with ecological restoration and health systems that are organised in compliance with global standards. The definition is applicable to different NRM policies in these ecosystems. There is a market-based environmental service scheme...
