Google scholar is a freely accessible search engine provided by Google itself that allows the individual to extract data regarding the placed query. Roughly estimated data reflects that there are more than 389 million academic journals, papers, scholarly articles and other academic writings that Google scholar possess. It is an excellent library data base because it provides access to research paper from multiple journals and websites. Likewise, availability of the articles is mostly free in pdf or html format. The major reason that allows an easy accessibility to this search engine is that it has dynamic genre to choose from. Further, there are filters that can be applied in order to look out for a specified or targeted search. Since, it is not a journal instead it is a platform for the researcher to look for articles from various journals and this makes researching academic data very easy.
Google scholar was upgraded with the citation import feature in 2006 which supported bibliography manager such as RefWorks and EndNote. Moreover, in the citation feature researcher can directly copy and paste the citations in number of formats such as APA, MLA or Chicago and much more. Articles provided here are all peer reviewed and therefore are trust worthy.
