Description


The abc bank has a main office, which is located in London, and has 5 branch offices located at Paris, California, India, Dubai and Qatar. The abc bank has an application server, which is used by its customers across the world for online transactions. All the branches have high speed internet connection. A network proposal has to be developed for the main office of abc bank.


Its main office sits on approximately four acres of land and serves over 200 staff and 20 guest users. There are four departments (admin, HR, security, and Finance) in the main office. The main office consist of two buildings. One building are used for admin and HR and other building is for security and finance. The Each building has two floors with each department on each floor. The abc Bank needs a comprehensive, technologically advanced Network solution that is cost effective and allow for network monitoring for this main office. The solution had to be easy to deploy and manage due to limited staff. Client is also requesting wireless internet access at all buildings because a powerful wireless network would also allow staff to use their devices at campus.

NETWORK DESIGN REPORT
1. Executive Summary
The main requirement of this report is to give the detailed information on the main office of ABC bank situated in London. The ABC bank has an application server, which is used by its customers across the world for online transactions. All the branches have high speed internet connection. A network proposal has to be developed for the main office of ABC bank. Its main office sits on approximately four acres of land and serves over 200 staff and 20 guest users. There are four departments namely administration, Human Resource, security, and Finance in the main office.
The main office consists of two buildings. One building are used for administration and Human resource and other building is for security and finance. The Each building has two floors with each department on each floor.
Building A houses the finance floor which has the application and database servers, while the security department there, is in charge of testing the firewall and the server architecture for vulnerabilities. The collective floors house 80 employees along with 20 guest users, the network used is bus topology along with a wifi facility.
Building B has two floors namely for administration and human resource departments, with 120 employees in a bus topology along with a similar wifi connectivity.
