Assignment 2: Menu SelectionDespite being a fairly old technology, menu-driven interfaces are very common in user interface design. Menu-driven interfaces consist of a series of screens which are navigated by choosing options from lists.Write a four to five (4-5) page paper in which you:1.Evaluate the user dialog strategies used by a menu-driven interface.2.Determine why menu-driven interfaces continue to be popular in the modern computing age.3.Suggest at least three (3) strategies for making menu-driven interfaces visually appealing in the modern computing environment.4.Suggest alternatives for menu-driven interface design and explain how these alternatives can be designed to eventually replace all menu-driven interfaces.5.Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:•Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA format.•Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length. The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:•Explain and describe the process of menu selection and organization.•Analyze and evaluate interface design models.•Use technology and information resources to research issues in human-computer interaction.•Write clearly and concisely about HCI topics using proper writing mechanics and technical style conventions*Please only use USA based references

User Dialogue Strategies
A user dialogue system is a system which has a sole purpose of establishing conversation with humans. A dialogue system comprises textual mode, speech, images, graphics to communicate ov
er output and input channel. Generally, a dialogue system consists of the following dialogue strategy components:
· Input Recognition- This mechanism converts the dialogues into text using speech and hand-writing recognizer. The first one is known as automatic speech recognition (ASR) or speech to text (STT). The devices that enable input recognition include touchscreens, mouse, microphones, keyboards and remote-control devices. The second one is handwritten Text Recognition (HWT) in which intelligible text written in hand over paper, images, etc. can be interpreted.
· Natural Language Understanding- It uses semantic theory to interpret languages. It further uses a parser to convert the interpretation into meaningful representations. The text is analyzed by appropriate name identification and using a semantic parser. The parser analyses the text using standard language (grammar) rules on the input text.
· Dialogue Management- The state of user dialogue and flow of conversation is managed in dialogue management which may require input from task manager (Diane J. Litman, 2002). This is accomplished with a dialogue manager. It converts the voice input to a system-specific semantic representation through Natural Language Processing Unit. The dialogue manager connects with task manager to acquire knowledge on the specific task.
· Output Generation- This strategy transforms the structured language into natural language understandable by the user. It may produce content for organizations to automate certain custom content for various applications used by the customers of the organization. Subsequently, layout manager is used to graphical control items to define component layouts. Once the output is generated and ready to be delivered, output renderer. This element comprises text-to-speech engine (TTS), a talking head or a comprehensive system as a robot in order to provide output. TTS...
