    Microwave ovens are used for heating food and operates on a form of electromagnetic radiator which is almost similar to the radio waves. Also, there are three characteristics of micro-ovens which are used while cooking. These characteristics are that they are reflected by metal substances, the heat passes through the glasses, paper and plastics and finally are being absorbed by the foods. Hence, it is the magnetron present in the oven which produces the microwaves. It is the microwaves which is reflected off the metal interior present in the oven and this causes the water molecules inside the food to vibrate (USFD, 2022). Micro ovens are in demand globally and most of the revenue to the amount of $1731 million was generated from United States in 2022. The market is expected to grow by 7.61% annually (Statista, 2022).
Analysis
    In Brazil, the consumers use micro-ovens for the purpose of reheating as well as for defrosting of frozen foods and cooking. There are almost 3.6% of Brazilians who uses metal containers. On a 9 points scale with respect to the perceived safety guides for consumption of microwave processed foods was estimated at 5.7. Further, the people of Brazil have very less knowledge on the use of micro-ovens and its technology (Martins, et.al., 2022).
