Apart from the regular Admin, Accounts, Finance and Marketing Departments, they also have groups of Front and Back End Developers along with Flash Designers.The existing network is old, not very secure and having various networking issues. They want to rebuild their entire network. Assume that you have been appointed in the role of an IT Consultant to re-build, manage and operate the new, secure, domain based network system for Excelfior Ltd. You are required to use the latest technologies which can accommodate their network load now and for another five years.Task 1:It is difficult to build a solution if you do not know the requirements. Your task is to gather requirements (User, Application, Device and Network) to complete this project with the help of techniques such as Questionnaire, interviews from Users or Management staff. Students must discuss questionnaire/interview with tutor before finalising all requirements.Furthermore, with the help of diagrams and flow charts, categorise and discuss all requirements in groups and create assessment plan for the Excelfior Ltd. network.Task 2: YAnalyse all requirements gathered in Task 1 and proposed suggestions accordingly. Create network performance metrics including (Bandwidth, Delay, Jitter, Packet loss, Utilisation, uptime or responsiveness etc) and justify your proposed solution.Make sure you provide enough information that will allow IT technicians to build network infrastructure from scratch. Excelfior Ltd. is a Melbourne based Digital Communication Company that specialises in designing, hosting and managing corporate websites. Apart from the regular Admin, Accounts, Finance and Marketing Departments, they also have groups of Front and Back End Developers along with Flash Designers.
In this paper company   appoint as a IT consultant who will gather the information about the existing network system of Excelfior digital company and with the help of investigation techniques as I m working as IT consultant so my job is gather the information.
The main investigation techniques are
I. Interviewing and Listening
II. Administering questionnaires
III. Analysis procedures and other documents
As an IT consultant organizes a interview session .we would take the employees interview and ask what kind of problem they face it about the network problem such as jitter packet loss and bandwidth. We have communicated the every employee   about the network system and what kind of improvement they need. We arranged both type of Interview individual or group. it is very effective for investigation. This technique is very useful to collect the data. This technique clears the doubt regarding the network system.
Administering questionnaires: firstly we make the questionnaire and select the respondent.  A questionnaire is a good method for the gathering the information. Questionnaires are a best technique in that situation when many people are involved and each people answers to same questions. 
Analysis the procedures: we analysis all the documents. It is way to quick and faster way to gather the information. As we gather the information from employees and management. We study and analysis the questionnaires and conclude the problem regarding the company network matrices such as Jitter, bandwidth and   data packet loss.
In this paper we discuss about existing network problem and their solution. Our solution is for network of digital company is change the router and their algorithm and suggesting the switches as employees facing the problem when they want to lap top with existing network.
Existing Network Diagram
We have gathered the information with the help of questionnaires and employees interview regarding the existing network problem. The Excelfior digital company used the network system have single router and router is RIP protocol version 1. The company connected with the ten router system. We used the Routing Information Protocol version 1.  The network main function is to share the routing information with the use of local broadcasts (Thomas,n.d).
