Since European settlements, the indigenous people suffered from severe dispossession of land, indulging into conflicts, exposure of too many diseases resulted into deaths of many people (SKwirk Online Education, 2018). Today the culture of Australia is a mix of traditional and contemporary thoughts and beliefs (Mooney, 2018).
There are many indigenous groups in the Aboriginal community as more than 150 groups speaking different languages at home (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2017). It reflects immense diversity of linguistic factors in Australian Indigenous Populations and creates issues in teaching the common indigenous beliefs to the young indigenous people. Despite such problems the indigenous people have put extreme efforts in maintaining the survival of indigenous beliefs and values. Linguistic issues as evident in the indigenous youth can be overcome by education, and knowledge of a common language like English.
