2. Introduction
The central bank is the financial institution that controls the whole production and distribution of money and credit in a nation (or a group of nations, like the European Union). The central bank which is responsible for this is also responsible for the formulation of monetary policy and at the same time, it oversees the regulation of all the member banks in its kitty.
Central banking means banking where the central bank is the one that manages all the things from production and distribution of money, to credit generation, regulation, and formulation of monetary policy. Till today the banking which is done across the globe is centrally regulated which means that central banking is still prevailing, and it will prevail in the future as well because all the banks are it private banks or public banks are regulated by the central bank, which is the main bank in the country, this bank can be government-owned or privately owned as well.
Over the years it is the central bank that has taken care of the economies after any crisis or drawdown which any of the economies face, like after the global financial crisis the central banks of the advanced economies eased the monetary policy and therefore reduced the interest rates to increase the liquidity in the economy and therefore reduced the impact of the financial crisis overall.
