The term ‘Dreaming’ refers to the spiritual understanding of the world, its creation and related stories from the perspective of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities (Alice Springs Australia, 2018). The initial starting of the knowledge is known as Dreamtime which relates to the beginning of the laws of existence. These laws are required to be followed in Aboriginal culture for survival. The ancestors emerged through the earth crust, the sun emerged out of the land. The earliest ancestors are thought to be like creatures, they travelled on the land and hunted for changing the form of land. They created rivers, mountains, plains, trees and waterholes in their journey. They also created the living forms like ants, grasshoppers, birds, insects, animals and plants. They further made the stars, moon and sun.
The Dreaming is the philosophy of the Aboriginal People which refers to the time when the ancestral souls created life over the land and elaborates the interdependence of all the matters and the people (Artlandish, 2018). The events are passed on to future generations by the aboriginals in form of songs, stories, art and ceremony. These dreaming stories constitute a rich cultural heritage of the aboriginal people.
