Consider two interviews – one you think was well handled and one that was poorly handled – in which you have taken part, either as an interviewer or as an applicant. Identify the reasons for the differences between them. What can you learn from this to improve the validity of interviews as a selection device? Have you ever been interviewed by a robot? If so, was it better than being interviewed by a real-life person and did you feel that it was a fairer process with no opportunity for bias to consciously or subconsciously play a role in the interview?
