1. Introduction
The research will provide the overview of the underlying dynamics, the forces, and top players of the global value procedures in managing supply chain for the lingerie industry of Victoria’s Secret. The marketing, promotion, channelling and customer relationship management are processes which are given emphasis for global value success chain in the lingerie industry like Victoria’s secret. The effort of the collaborative intra-company for managing the global value processes in lingerie industry is discussed.
The research deals with the various global value processes which are the reasons for success of the lingerie business taking into account the renowned brand of Victoria’s Secret Limited Brand. The fundamental corporate strategies for managing the global value supply chain in this lingerie sector are identified. The analyses of the critical factors for the success of the global value chain in future are also given importance in the research. The research takes into consideration the global value chain strategy of Limited Brands’ Victoria’s Secret business which has high-end lingerie sector for customers all across the globe. The secret of the Limited Brands’ Victoria’s Secret business strategy, model opening, objectives for operational and the different global value supply chain strategies for making the supply chain competitive are discussed.
1.1 Aims and Objectives
The aim of the research is to understand the different procedures and strategies which are used in business for global value chain management in the lingerie industry.
The objective is to take suitable strategy to undertake innovative process development and suitable launching of lingerie products. Another objective is undertaking high promotional scope for lingerie to acquire brand recognition in global value chain management.
1.2 Background
In the development countries the concept of the global value chain and its success is analysed in the international trade. The global value chain strategy comprises of the total range of all activities which are necessary for bringing a product from its identification, through the process of designing, resource equipment and raw materials and the intermediate goods and other inputs, its marketing and distribution with support to the final customers (Quader, 2012). In particular the activities should be co – ordinated across the different geographic boundaries. The global value chain strategy involves every people and the activities which are engaged in the production of the services or the goods of the in the global supply level, distribution and the post sell activities to its targeted customers.
Global value chain strategies can be excellent for any business if it has the clearly defined objectives. The objectives should be the part of the model operating which is well aligned to the overall corporate strategy (Bahn & Cameron, 2013).
Victoria’s Secret (VS) is one of the renowned brands and has the most profitable business with the biggest revenue generated for the Limited Brands (Anon., 2012). The net sales of the lingerie sector for the most renowned VS brand is more than 10,000 million dollars in the year 2017 and has an operating income of around 1000 million dollars. The lingerie business of VS comprises of the Victoria’s Secret Stores, Victoria’s Secret Beauty and Victoria’s Secret Direct (Victoria's Secret, 2018). The Victoria’s Secret Stores mostly sells the most comfortable and stylish lingerie which includes the panties and the bras and sleepwear products. Victoria’s Secret Beauty sells varieties of beauty products both domestically in United States and globally. Victoria’s Secret Direct sells the Victoria Secret’s lingerie, sleepwear and also the brands of the third party which includes the shoes, apparel and accessories. These high-end lingerie stores are also available to access and order online and through catalogues.

The global value processes are the reasons of the success of business in the lingerie industry is the issue in the research as it would make other lesser known similar brand understand the techniques of achieving success in global business (Castellanos, 2012).

Understanding the extent of the global value processes for the success in the lingerie industry is an issue as, in recent, times globalization and demand for different kinds of lingerie brands are increasing.
