It was due to the Europeans mostly of who were barred from their inheriting properties in Europe arrived in American in the greed of capturing the lands of the Native Americans. The lands of the Americans Indians were rich in cotton plantation and other agricultural cropping. Also, these Native Americans who were recognised as Indians were mostly indigenous people; dark in colour and used to talk in colloquial language which were different from the British English. This resulted in racial discrimination by the Europeans against the Indians. These indigenous people were victims of pagan savages and were tortured and murdered in the name of civilization and Christianity. This resulted in revolt among the indigenous Indians which lead to the massacre of Gnadenhutten in the year 1782 in which 96 Christianized Indian from the state of Delaware.
