The travel organisation mainly operates with 34 commuter water boats, which is also known as the water buses or vaporetto, which operates from Venice Marco Polo Airport to the centre of the city (Alilaguna, 2021). Alilaguna has presently 4-line routes or service routes, the airport line, the cruise terminal line and the Lido and Murano lines. The Water buses are also one of the popular means of transportation in Venice, as they are the economical and convenient for tourists and locals. Alilaguna ticket prices range between 8 Euros to 65 Euros depending on the kind of ticket and the duration of the purchase of ticket. The main target market of Alilaguna are mainly tourists, however, the locals who are residing in the island of Murano and Lido also contribute to the organisation $8 million revenue. Every transportation from the Gondolas to the cruise ships and the transport water buses and the taxis are all the Alilaguna competitors. However, based on the organisations size and route of operations the top three competitors are AeroCITY, Bolivia Hop and the water taxi, all the company’s annual revenue are between $5 and $11 million per annum. Impact of Alilaguna’s Operations of Venice’s Sustainability Venice is popularly known as the historically and culturally significant place, for which the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) listed the city and the lagoon in the World Heritage site. UNESCO helps to protect and also preserve the places of the cultural and the also the natural heritage of the world that encourages the States Parties to establish a management plans and the report on the conversation of their World Heritage (Trovo, 2020). Because of the careful preservation the city Venice is still retaining a great deal of their history within the city limits after the 160 years of the existence. The historic infrastructure of Venice amplifies the effects of tourism, which leads to many people crowding into the small streets. Since, the uniqueness of Venice is that the collection of the individual island that makes an organized grid system of the streets. However, the city of Venice consists of around 2600 small, curved streets that connects within the irregular intersections. The public transportation of Venice is limited to the canal boast and to the walking as any kind of automobile is not allowed on the roads of Venice. This has turned out to be one of the major attractions for the tourists. Tourism is one of the major attractions in Venice because of its culture, history, art and architecture. Once upon a time being a powerful place in the world, Venice had the power of sea trading and that leads to the introduction of wealth and prosperity in the city of Venice. Since, the engineering marvel was at its height during that time, the buildings build during that era remain intact and a centre for attraction for the tourists (Sheraphin et al., 2018). However, the city is now turning out to be fragile in nature because of the city turning out to be one of the busiest spots, particularly because of the tourists. Further discussed by Bertocchi and Visentin (2019) that one of the major reasons behind the city turning out to be fragile because of the ships that is causing tides that is eroding away the foundation of the buildings. Further the contribution of pollution is also having a huge impact over the cityscape as they are shadowing the monuments of the city (Nejati et al., 2015). Venice is a small city with limited space and is accommodating a lot of tourists along with the local people. With the increasing transportation of ships and water buses, and with the increasing population along with flow of tourists, the sustainability of Venice is at risk. This risk is mainly on the heritage buildings, the waters of Venice along with the environment, which is slowly turning out to be inhabitable for the local people (Gonzalez, 2018). Alilaguna is one of the major transportation company operating in Venice with 34 commuter water boats. This number is significant enough for contributing towards the pollution level in both airways and water ways. Since, the ancient monuments and building are vulnerable to get destroyed by the erosion, pollution and also with the increased footfalls of people. However, the transport company Alilaguna is increasing their fleet lines by having four-line route service, which is connected within the city, airport line, cruise terminal line adds many more important lines within the city. Further the price of tickets offered by the company is striking enough to attract locals as well as tourist, which further increases the negative impact over the overall sustainability of the place. The activities of the company are polluting the air, water, historical monuments along with the flora and fauna of the place. Therefore, necessary sustainable policies are required to be implemented in order to mitigate the negative impact of the activities of the company and the impact over Venice. Corporate Social Responsibility towards Venice by Alilaguna As a tourist operator it is very much essential to practice corporate social responsibilities, which will ensure that the flora and fauna of the place will be kept intact and also the historical significance of the place will also be preserved. Alilaguna is committed towards such business activities which are in line with the ecological concerns. Since, there is a growing debate regarding the future of Venice because of the increased transportation in water, and also increased footfalls, it is essential to ensure that the travel companies must look forward to contribute in a big manner to preserve the place (Biddulph & Scheyvens, 2018). Since, tourism is one of the world’s largest service industries operating and it is also considered as the significant contributor towards the climate change around the world. The similar kind of impact can be observed in Venice, where the tourism activities are the biggest contributors toward the climatic change, and also, it is posing as a threat towards the preserving of the historical monuments of Venice. Therefore, Alilaguna has decided to compensate their complete travel arrangements to be 100% through an international Gold Standard project for the customers, both local and the tourists. In order to limit their impact towards the pollution of both water and air, the company had decided to acquire CO2 certificate which will ensure that the company’s activities are in-line with the protection of the climate and preserving of local historical monuments, which are also having the significance of World Heritage Site. The company had also decided to further improve their human rights, which is based on the foundation of respect, esteem and equality for the locals and the tourists. The company has the reputation of paying well to their employees, and also the company is planning to contribute towards the sustainability of the locality through the profits they have earned (Visentin & Vallerani, 2018). These contributions will be made to also engage the local communities towards practicing a more sustainable approach towards the place along with the aim to preserve the culture, history and beauty of Venice. The company is always committed and further ready to contribute towards the ecological and social commitment as the forefront of their actions. Since, these actions are important because this will help the company to make contract with the partners with the commitment of sustainability towards their business, and overall development of Venice. Factors Impacting Future Sustainability Socio Cultural Impacts A step towards the sustainability of a place is impacted with many important factors. Among these factors are socio cultural, environmental and economic impact over the place. With respect to the sustainability, the first point to consider is the socio-cultural impact of sustainable tourism over that place. As discussed by Price (2017) the attention must be paid toward the environment of Venice, which requires to preserve the beautiful landscape, the flora and fauna along with the heritage buildings of the place. The sustainability practice will encourage the local people of the place to get engage in activities related with the lesser usage of transportation system which will cause pollution as well as erosion, which is endangering the foundation of the historical monuments. The tourists will be also advised to limit the usage of those means of they must minimize their activities which are contributing towards the threat of the sustainability of the place. And lastly the sustainability will ensure the attraction of Venice will be sustained, for which it had become popular, and a great attraction around the world. Economic Impacts Since, tourism industry is one of the biggest economic contributors globally, and towards the economy of Venice, the sustainable tourism practice will also have a positive impact over the place. As discussed by Di Vico et al. (2020) the sustainable practice in tourism will have a positive impact over the economy on the balance of payments, over the employment generation of the people, and on the gross income and production of Venice. Tourism is also one of the major sources of earing foreign exchange earnings, which is one of the major contributors towards the economic aid of the place. Therefore, a sustainable tourism practice will attract foreign tourist in a more responsible manner and the contribution of foreign exchange towards the economy. The sustainable practice will also ensure that the benefits are contributed towards the preserving of the historical monuments, overall development of the place, and it will contribute towards the increase in the economic condition of the local population. And lastly the economic development will also contribute in a big way towards the employment generation of people of Venice Environmental Impacts Sustainable policy of tourism will also have a positive impact over the preserving of the environment of the place. As discussed by Salerno and Russo (2020) that the influx of tourist in a greater number will have a negative impact over the destination, which

Introduction
Venice is a destination which is widely popular amidst the tourists for its historical and cultural significance. The industry of tourism has flourished to a great extent in the location of Venice for its rich history of arts, culture, architecture and so on. With the passage of time, the power of Venice has continually deteriorated due to a number of issues associated with the aspect of tourism. The modes of transportation generally revolve around waterways. Due to the increasing number of alilagunas, water cruises and water taxis, are responsible for the negative impact on sustainability of Venice.
Sustainability Theories
The sustainability theories are extremely important when it will be applied to the context of alilagunas. According to Miller and Wyborn (2020), Corporate Social Responsibility can be described as the way in which an organisation secures financial independence while interacting ethically with the surrounding community. It can also be described as the responsibility of an organisation in securing profits while playing a significant role in community welfare. Four aspects are paid attention to in Corporate Social Responsibility. They are economic responsibility, legal responsibility, ethical, and philanthropic responsibility. The economic responsibility of any organisation is to be financially secure. According to Mitchell (2021), the legal responsibility is associated with the process of following the different rules and regulations. Ethical responsibility can be described as a situation where a company acts according to what is right or correct, it may not be legally binding. In philanthropic responsibility, it is important to contribute to the benefits of the society and the general populace. If an organisation follows these four aspects, it will be able to sustain in the long run. For organisations such as Alilaguna, it is extremely important that it understands the true essence of Corporate Social Responsibility theory in order to be sustainable in the longer run in the industry.
The Triple Bottom Line is one significant sustainability theory which is an extension of the theory of Corporate Social Responsibility. According to Braccini and Margherita (2019), this particular theory deals with the notion that the leaders of the organisations ought not only focus on the economic sustainability of the same, but also emphasise on the company’s impact of the social realm as well as the environmental realm. For the purpose of economic sustainability, it is essential that the corporate leaders have their focus on the long term financial solidity and stability rather than the more volatile short term profits earned.
In terms of social sustainability, the theory of Triple Bottom Line focuses on and values the balance in the lives of people and the way in which they lead their lives. As long as a society flourishes, business enterprises will flourish to its fullest potential (United Nations DPI., 2018). Therefore, it is extremely important to strike a balance between the different rungs of the society in order to maintain a harmonious community where a business can foster in an organic manner. The aspect of environmental sustainability pans from the notion that the amount of natural resources that are available to the human race is extremely limited. As a result of this, in order to give the future generation a chance to lead their lives in a well-wrought manner, it is essential to conserve the resources effectively and efficiently. For organisations, such as Alilaguna, it goes without saying that they ought to follow the Triple Bottom Line model and theory in order to align the business with the greater or broader community.
The Stakeholder Theory is another theoretical approach to towards sustainability. It can be called the mirror image of the theory of Corporate Social Responsibility. Corporate Social Responsibility...
