Rental App Milestone 1 - System Proposal  Group 8 Group Members  Prerana Rai  Subilal Dangol  Bijen Malla  Sujana Shrestha  Nima Sherpa  Prayash Pandit  1. Introduction about the problem domain  Why own when you can rent? Sharing can be new owning. It is clear that renting can be beneficial for a lot of people who cannot afford to buy things. The rental app makes it easier for people who want any specific thing that they want for a short period of time or for a specific purpose to rent it rather than buying it. It also helps people who own a lot of things but barely use it to earn some money by renting it out. Renting helps in sharing the cost.. It is not necessary to buy the product you don’t use in your daily life. Hence, our app can help you to find the product you need for a short time without wasting your money. Renting with us can be easy, flexible, secure and fast where you can borrow the items you need and lend items you don’t need. 0. System Request  The Project Sponsor: Julia  Smith,Vice President of IT Department Business Need: The primary goal of our company is to help people to rent the products that they only need for a specific time. People can also earn money by sharing and lending products that they don’t use by putting it up for renting. Through our renter app, they don’t have to buy the product and spend lots of money on the product but they can rent it for a specific time and they can save a good amount of money.  Business Requirement:  Once the app is downloaded the users must sign up and create a profile using the instruction provided.  The app should be able to create accounts for the customer with their basic information as name, email address, phone number, and any debit or credit card information for a transaction. The users can post any items as long as it is legal, appropriate and not offensive to others. The system should be able to navigate through all the listing to find the searched item and view details about the item, features, price of renting, pictures, videos, and nearby locations.  Customers can also chat online through the app about the products they rent or about the products they want to rent.  The functionality that the system should have is listed below: · Maintain records for every customer under their own customer account. · Displays the types of services provided for both renters and rentee. · Store all the data in the system for all the products listed for renting. · Facilitate people to self-rent directly and allow people to rent from any location that has an Internet connection and web browser. Business Value:  We expect this new renting app to be helpful to the customer by providing a cost-saving alternative to buying. The app helps to manage the items where they can publish, edit and manage the items. The users will get access to the account once they are verified. We will verify the user by using their email address and phone number. The items will be protected if the transaction has been done through the app. The customers can pay or get paid directly through the app using debit or credit cards, they can also use Paypal account for the payment. RIO rental app is an innovative idea that helps users to earn extra money for the things they have but aren’t using at all.  Special Issue or Constraint:  This system is an effective and well-designed app working for the benefit of everyone in our community.
