Reply #1 Thesis Statement   Defund the Police!  This slogan has been used by many groups and individuals in the last year or so, but have they stopped to really think how this would change their local community or city?  Defunding the police would result in skyrocketing crime, higher murder rates and would turn ordinary citizens into vigilantes who takes the law into their own hands.  If this action is adopted, the America that was, would be no more.   One of the sources that I am going to be using is “Defund the Police - Top 3 Pros and Cons” from ProCon Headlines. This article was written on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.  This article supports that defunding the police would tear America apart. Reply #2 Thesis Statement Organ failure is a crucial issue among U.S. citizens because 17 people a day pass away from a preventable death, effecting families, communities, and the economy.   A source that I will be using for my paper will be from the Health Resources & Services Administration. This source will provide many statistics I will use in my paper to show the large problem and dire need for more organ donors. The number of people on the wait list and how many lives can be saved from one organ donor are just two pieces of information this government website provides. This source also supports my thesis statement. I believe it will better point out the gap between those who need a transplant and who do receive the necessary organ. The source will contribute helpful data for my argumentative paper.
