As you work and study to become a more effective leader, you may be asked to introduce and integrate DEI values and practices into your organization’s functions. However, before memorializing the DEI mission and goal of an organization, it is important to understand why an organization needs such a statement, how it can implement the statement, and how the organization may measure the effectiveness of its DEI endeavors. This assignment will help you better understand how an organization may effectively implement DEI policies and procedures. You are part of an organization’s executive leadership. You have been tasked with drafting that organization’s DEI statement. As part of your task you will explain why organizations benefit from having a more diverse workforce. Explain why your DEI statement appropriately addresses the DEI needs of your organization and what steps the organization can take to implement your DEI statement.
