Telescope is one of the breakt
hrough inventions of the mankind that immensely contributed to our understanding of the universe and astronomy. Basically telescope is an optical instrument that consists of either lenses or combination of the lenses and curved mirrors that work on to collect rays of light and will enable them to focus on a selected focus point which in turn will magnifies the images of distant objects.
The first telescope is invented in present day Netherlands in the year 1608, by Jacob Metius and by Hans Lippershey. However subsequent efforts of Galileo improved telescope further and made it more versatile and useful tool for space exploration. Since then there are several improvements in the design and the construction of the telescopes were recorded in the time lines.
