Instructional Discussion Thread for Personal Leadership Portfolio
The following information is needed for Assignment submission in Lesson 7.
Please do not wait till the end to complete. It is worth 100 points of your grade.
Each student will create a personal leadership portfolio. In the portfolio, students should reflect on past leadership experiences and develop a vision for their personal and professional future. Include leadership activities related to family, work, church, organizations, and the community. Be creative and use pictures, newspaper and magazine clippings, poems, cartoons, and mementos.
The assignment must include the following:
Personal Vision Statement
- Brief summary of your ultimate career goal.
Personal Mission Statement
- Brief summary which explains what you are doing to achieve your Vision Statement. Summary of your Leadership Style
Past Leadership Experience –(select all that pertain to you.)
- List your past experiences
Professional examples:Provide leadership examples from your work history.
Community examples:Examples of volunteer work or if held positions in community organizations.
Personal examples:Examples if helped someone through a difficult situation or mentored someone.
Personal Philosophy of Leadership Essay
- Identify and define your Personal Philosophy of Leadership.
- 1pg length, double spaced, 12pt font.
- If you are submitting something other an a word document this essay must be submitted separately.
