Using the assigned reading, lesson, and the Internet, research different tools and processes used within the framework of continuous improvement. Compare and contrast at least two processes in relation to how they contribute to and manage quality improvement. Provide a hospitality related scenario and determine which process would be best suited for the conditions of the scenario. For the analysis of the scenario, the writing should provide, but not limited to, the following: description of the problem, influential or relevant conditions, and anticipated results.

Better online evaluations, faster service, and more customer satisfaction are the expected outcomes. The "Five Whys" and a "Action Plan" can be used to effectively solve the problem. In order to provide a comprehensive approach to quality improvement, the "Five Whys" helps identify fundamental reasons and the "Action Plan" specifies the measures to fix them. With this combination, the restaurant may approach the issue methodically and effectively. In the fiercely competitive hotel sector, continuous improvement methods are vital tools for helping firms improve their quality, please clients, and ensure their long-term success.

Accountability, clear communication, and a way to monitor progress are all guaranteed. It is especially helpful for turning recognized problems into tangible, doable actions.
In the hospitality industry, these processes can be applied as follows –
· The "Five Whys" Method is a good method to use in the beginning of a problem-solving process. The Five Whys can be used to delve deeply into a problem when one develops, such as delayed service in a restaurant. In this case, it can become clear that ineffective kitchen personnel at peak times are to blame for the delayed service. Each layer of the issue is investigated by constantly asking "why," which aids management in locating the underlying reasons. This approach is useful for thoroughly identifying problems.
· The "Action Plan": After the underlying causes have been located using techniques like the Five Whys, an action plan is necessary in order to take corrective action. The action plan in our restaurant scenario may include specific actions like recruiting extra workers at busy times, developing a more effective kitchen workflow, and implementing a clear order prioritizing system. The action plan makes sure that these remedies are implemented in a methodical, responsible, and time-bound way, resulting in improvement.
