The merge of large hospitals has recently become a trend. It helps in improving the economy of scale and extend the scope of services. It also helps improve pricing power in negotiations with the clients. It has increased in recent years where small healthcare ventures are seeking consolidation with large healthcare organizations. The benefits we get from consolidating is creating necessary scale to invest in innovation and research. It helps cut the overall cost and earn adequate profit at the same time. This provides safe and secure equipment facilities to customers. Consolidating also Improves service capacity and patient care. I believe these are the benefits we have to look for while we consulting with a large healthcare organization . It will help in secure the healthcare system for years to come.


2nd students discussion
There are quite a few benefits I would be looking for during a consultation with a larger healthcare organization. For starters, I would be interested in the status of their already established leaders and policies. Could our people just mesh into a new, possibly more structured chain of command? What new services or treatments could the larger organization bring to existing patients? Another benefit I would look for would be a large system of care, a network of connections to ensure the best treatments for patients. Does this system of care bring an EHR system that would benefit our smaller health system? I'd also like to see a successful financial/revenue history to get a feel for their profits and costs.
