INTERNET TECHNOLOGIES AND BUSINESS PROCESSES
ABSTRACT
Here in this assessment we’re going to understand and relate to the statistical breakdown of the internet usage in Australia and how we can put it to use in business perspective. This is vital in getting to know how to have the necessary changes and improvements that can be expected or done immediately by implementing the same. Thro
ugh the research, the findings are that this would could be taken into a great government interest as being a first world problem, there must be immediate attention to it. No problem is small or big; it needs to be solved. That is how ideas, star ups or businesses develop. So through my work, I take you through the detailed breakdown of a few statistical reports that might be of any researcher’s interest. This could be the start of another project projecting a solution or could also be open for changes and challenges. This is not to blame or point out any imperfections, but in pure interest of statistics and representation. However with my limited time and research I present to you, anyone is welcome to open further possibilities of doubt or a different perspective altogether.

CONCLUSION
INTRODUCTION
Australia, unfortunately comes under the least affordable entry-level access to broadband, and this not only among developed economies, but the entire world. With a rank of 67 out of a wider list of 83 countries, Australia was 67th for entry-level broadband tariffs with countries like Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Pakistan worse.
The Infrastructure Australia audit found the recent technology mix for the NBN would deliver for users, variations and may lead to either rise in costs or a degraded service this year.
Many officials have also raised concerns about the rise in NBN expenditure.
NBN Co recently commissioned Alpha Beta for a comprehensive study of broadband affordability which compared broadband prices to household income.
Apparently, it is found that Australians enjoy the seventh-most affordable broadband services when compared to 22 countries.
So here’s a little about the Statistics in Australia.
PART A
HOUSEHOLD USE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN AUSTRALIA

1) While there were an estimated 2,862,600 households in the NSW region, around 2,439,900 households were reported to have access to internet. This accounts to a calculated 85.23% connectivity. If the total number of households with internet connectivity is considered for comparison; i.e. 7,850,300 households till then, NSW alone accounts to 31.08% of all the internet connected houses in the entire Australian continent.
2) ADSL: The Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line is the regular copper wired Internet connection that we get with a PSTN line. It is now considered to be one of the slowest in the existing broadband connections, as users have reported constant drop in the speed over physical issues.
Wireless Broadband: This is the most convenient form of Internet connection as this could be easily purchased from a retailer and needs the least or no installation. Wherever there’s good mobile coverage, it is good to go and quite portable, useful in today’s life.
Cable Internet: This is delivered through pay TV cables and has one of the fastest internet connectivity and delivered similar to DSL or Fibre-To-The-Home. This is offered as a package or at a discounted price along with the TV subscription.
NBN: This is an Australian-Technology plan where the existing copper wired connections would be replaced with optical fibres for better connectivity and internet speeds. Though it had its own issues as a part of being a pilot project, the future seems to be looking up on NBN for all of the country’s communication solutions.
If there’s an NBN line available in the area you live in, that would be the best if it’s an urban area, due to its multifunctional uses to connect multiple devices, gaming and online entertainment streaming. If you’re unable to wait for NBN to be released yet, switch to Cable internet for its best use.
For regional areas, as well as urban...
