There are several communication techniques, which are used in the hospitality industry in term of coaching workplace context. Firstly, coaching communication always means active listening to not only the clients but also the employees or other staffs working in such farms. Secondly, open-ended questioning is another crucial factor of communication in this regard. Thirdly, both verbal as well as non-verbal communication in needed. Fourthly, communication through constructive feedbacks is important. Fifthly, communication through undergoing several cultural strategies. Sixthly, communication of rapport building (Shannon & Cad, 2018).
2) Objectives and Scope of Coaching Session
Providing facilities is the primary aim of any coaching session. People who provide decisions undergoes maximum benefits from coaching sessions. It provides the organisation with great goal clarity, better alignment with roles in the organisation. It helps to develop a decision strategy that would support the practice vision as well as help to achieve the goal. The major scope of coaching session is it help a client to improve their learning, performance as well as enhance their quality of life. It establishes a code and conduct for attitude, behaviour, and communication.
3) Factors that Impact the Need for Coaching
The various factors needed to influence the coaching practices are firstly, the set up should be established in order to match up the relationship with the clients. Competencies and leadership qualities should be maintained in this regard (Lub, Breuker & Tomaszewski, 2019). Secondly, highly effective, and relevant information is needed in order to analyse the individual performance. Thirdly, organisational support is needed to present the coaching session. Fourthly, environmental impact is yet another factor that affect the need for coaching. Fifthly, coaching is needed to boast the confidence level, improve the work performance, and build up an effective communication skill.
4) Key Principles
The key principles of training or coaching that can be applied in the workplace of any hospitality industry are firstly, creating awareness about coaching benefits people and improves the quality of lifestyle. Secondly, it serves the responsibility and take the ownership of an individual’s decision. They responsibly guide the client or individuals to their destination and directly them appropriately. Thirdly, it creates self-belief and confidence within the client or the individual, where several encouragements from coaches help to speed up the progress of the work. Fourthly, in any coaching sessions mistakes are presented as learning experiences not a reason to look for scapegoats. Therefore, it is blame free. Fifthly, it totally focuses on the solution. Lastly, it helps to face the challenges and accordingly proceed with action (Wilson, 2020).
