CST 6312 MASTER’S PROJECT O’KELLY LIBRARY PROJECT SUPERVISOR: Ms. Evans WSSU FACULTY SUPERVISOR: Dr. Jones PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Design and develop a computer based computer literacy training application for non-traditional students (students age 30> returning to college after several years break, with little to no computer experience). This training application is designed to help students with basic computer skills. It introduces the students to the use and basic functionalities of the computer and software applications for their area of study. Course Goals MODULE A:Students will learn the basic functions and operations of the computer (i.e., upload, download, and save files, file manipulation) MODULE B:Students will know how to access and utilize Office 365 (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook) MODULE C:Students will learn to use various web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge) MODULE D:Students will learn how to access and use OneDrive (Save, upload, share OneDrive files) MODULE E: Students will learn how to access and use Adobe Creative Cloud MODULE F: Students will learn how to print using web applications REQUIREMENTS: Design a web based CHAT BOT user interface to assist students in accessing the specific training module they need. Design training modules using CAMTASIA to walk students through the tutorial for each module listed above (show them on the computer monitor how to perform a task). Work with a computer science undergraduate student to provide the “voice over” for the modules. Upload modules to YouTube. Test the project and make modifications as required.
