Tableau has been ranked as Top Most Business Intelligence tool in the Gartner survey for the past few years. The popularity of Tableau is due to the fact that is simple to use and capable enough to generate interactive visualizations which is almost beyond the capability of any other tool in the market out there.
CAPABILITY
Tableau being one of the most popular commercial data visualization tool has many of its advantages. Few of the key capabilities are listed below –
· Tableau can be used to pull in data from various formats and data sources that can be in a structured or unstructured manner.
· Data Interpreted feature that is available in Table a give the users the capability to clean the any messy data with a single click of mouse.
· Tableau has also the capability of data Blending which enable she business users to compare the key performance indicators across the various operations of the Company.

Plotly is an open source big data visualization tool which has the capability of building complex and sophisticated visualizations due its ability of integration with advanced statistical software like R, Python, MATLAB and etc. It is popular tool which is commonly used by users for the modification of interactive and graphical data online. (Hao Zheng, 2020)
CAPABILITY
Likewise, Tableau in commercial segment, Plotly also has its advantages in open source segment. Few of the capabilities are as below -
· Due its ability to be installed on premise and deployed on cloud, it is a common tool which is preferred by the various stakeholders involved in generating business insights like Data scientists, data analyst and the Business analysts.
· Plotly has the ability of collaboration, sharing, editing and building among its various users. This helps in boosting the efficiency of every user as each users has its own designated task.
· It has a lot the capability of sharing the charts by using the cloud account of the user.
· Plotly is fully interactive in its approach, meaning thereby is that by using Plotly the end users can themselves edit the charts irrespective of the fact that the reports and the charts has been built by the other users.
