•    Analyze HRM and HR planning processes such as recruitment and selection, training and development, performance and reward, and employee relations in international firms.


•    Assess the importance of political ideology as an influence on government action, policies, and legislation, and critically evaluate the role of the state, management, and employees and trade unions from a comparative perspective.


•    Compare and contrast national employment systems in order to evaluate different models of HRM and the nature and scope of socio-cultural, institutional, and legal constraints on HR policy and practice within organizations.
