On successful completion of this module you should be able to:• Analyze HRM and HR planning processes such as recruitment and selection, training and development, performance and reward, and employee relations in international firms.• Assess the importance of political ideology as an influence on government action, policies, and legislation, and critically evaluate the role of the state, management, and employees and trade unions from a comparative perspective.• Compare and contrast national employment systems in order to evaluate different models of HRM and the nature and scope of socio-cultural, institutional, and legal constraints on HR policy and practice within organizations.• Critically discuss the convergence-divergence debate, identifying the main issues and theories relating to globalization and the internationalization of the firm
