or this assignment, you will need to write AT LEAST one page. Here's a breakdown of the requirements:

1.)Briefly summarize the text.Clearly demonstrate your understanding of the text's primary argument. You obviously won't be able to cover every detail in your summary, but you should be able to explain what the author's purpose was for writing this text.

2.)Analyze at least one particular element of ONE text. This should go beyond summary;you can criticize one of the arguments, make an observation using your own experience to expand on an argument,or explain why this element was particularly important, informative,or interesting to you.You could analyze a particular example, focus on the author's style or tone,or remark on the intended audience and how well the text does (or doesn't) engage with that audience. You only need to do this for ONE of the texts.

You will probably need to go over one page, but remember: you need AT LEAST one page. That means there should be writing on the second page.

You will be graded according to your ability to show you did the reading, and the depth of your thoughts. In other words, I don't want you to quote a long passage and say "this is interesting." I want you to explain WHY and HOW it's interesting.

AT LEAST ONE PAGE. DOUBLE-SPACED, 12-point font. MAKE SURE YOUR NAME IS ON IT. NO NEED FOR A HEADER; JUST INCLUDE YOUR NAME AND "HARRIS READING RESPONSE".
