  1. Type of culture (Pluralism, Dualism or Salad bowl)

Provide examples for each item listed above and discuss how each example applies to the organization identified. INTRODUCTION
    Organizational behavior reflects that interaction between humans or people working in an organization on the basis of set standards (McShane & Von Glinow, 2013). The thesis statement “organizatio
nal behaviour is shaped by employer” has been taken for assessing its influence on the culture, communication and authority of the business. However, the organizational behaviour or employers tend to affect overall productivity, motivation and satisfaction level of workforce by affecting the internal business environment (Buchanan & Huczynski, 2013). In this context, the current report is related to the analysis of organizational behavior for the current and former employer of Apple Inc which is a multinational technology company and deals in design, development and selling of consumer electronics, online services and computer software etc. Further, several areas such as the type of culture, modes of communication, nature of authority etc. have been identified to know about the effects of these areas on organizational behavior in positive or negative manner. Moreover, the effects of motivational techniques, emotional quotient and virtual elements have also been analyzed in the context of organizational behavior of employers.
TYPE OF CULTURE- PLURALISM, DUALISM OR SALAD BOWL
    Culture is the set pattern, assumption and belief which helps in creating the standard environment of the business. This can be defined with the help different types of cultures wherein pluralism, dualism or salad bowl are the main types of culture which are followed by the organizations (Roland, 2013). Pluralism culture refers to a multi-cultural environment which includes people from different culture, language, values and beliefs. This provides an opportunity for people of different culture to interact with each other’s and follow the set pattern of the corporation (Dallmayr, 2010). On the other hand, Askegaard & Linnet (2011) argued that dualism culture is politically created in a legal form which is based on the intentions but not exactly shows the fiction. However, salad bowl culture includes the different types of cultures in one basket which clarifies the various religions and people remain engaged from different countries to one country. In this context, the culture of Apple company is based on the pluralism because it focuses on the involvement of different types of culture and produces the products as per the demand of varied cultural people (Brett, 2013). Further, employer of the respective company also associated with the multicultural environment because Apple is originated in USA and USA is Salad bowl (Pluralism) country (Portera, 2010; Oberoi & Toni Morrison, 2016).
Bertsch (2013) asserted that ultimately the behavior of employers would get affected by the salad bowl cultural environment due to the involvement of other culture. However, Portera (2010) argued that duality culture represents the proper balance between the two countries cultures by finding out the people. On the basis of these, two groups can be compared with respect to ethnic as well as cultural groups of the country. Nonetheless, Apple company is based on the coexistence of different cultures but the differences are related to variation between bi-lateral societies. By considering these, the differences are accepted by the employers because there is less discrimination in the societies (Barak, 2016).
MODES OF COMMUNICATION- WRITTEN OR VERBAL
    Communication is the two-way process which is based on the transformation of information by using varied sources. Communication channels are used by the employers to create the understanding in employees and boost the morale for the performance of a task. In this regard, the employer of Apple uses two ways of communication such as verbal and written to exchange information which reflects the behavior of the employer with colleagues (Broadbent, 2013). By considering these, Huczynski, Buchanan & Huczynski (2013) stated that verbal communication is the procedure to convey the related information in an oral form to the workforce so that major outline can be presented. However, Schmitt & et al. (2011) argued that written communication is the better option to provide the detail data regarding the problem or situation which can be helpful to deal with the issues in an effective manner. In this context, Apple is a global operator of business which was established in 1976 having wide range of employees as well as stakeholders (Apple Inc., 2018). So, it is not possible for the employer of the respective company to communicate the policies and frameworks to the employees in an oral way. For this purpose, the head of the department adopts the written communication to provide the information related to annual revenue and strategic plans to stakeholders (Course Hero, 2018).
Additionally, it can maintain strong relationships with participants and employees by following the written communication styles. Apart from this, Apple Inc also focuses on professional communication by including interpersonal communication, event management, engagement of employees etc. Moreover, Apple company’s employers may also incorporate another several communication channels like television, word of mouth, radio etc. in the form of verbal communication whereas print and ambient media in the form of written communication which influence the organizational behavior in the form of positive manner (Berger & Iyengar, 2013). Moreover, positivity reflects the attitude of the employers towards the organization and perform business activities more effectively and expectedly.
NATURE OF AUTHORITY -RECOGNIZED SOCIAL RANK
