BUSI 331 Marketing Research Report Part 2 Instructions Survey Design In this assignment, you will build on the initial research problem assignment. 1. In 200-300 words, discuss how you will use quantitative research for this study, incorporating support from research in current APA format. 2. Review the Questionairre and Form Design sections in the Malhotra text. In 200-300 words, briefly describe the methodology you will use for your research. (For example, submitting an online survey using Survey Monkey through your online social media channels over a period of 7 days, targeting 30 valid responses from a university student population.) Be specific here, clearly defining who your target population is for survey distribution, how you will deploy your survey, and your sample size. (There is a lot of research around appropriate sample size for a reliable and valid survey; for these assignments, please target 30 valid and fully completed survey responses.) 3. Submit your Questionnaire Design in Appendix A (the Appendix A section will follow the References section at the end of your paper). Please include a mix of questions that are relevant to your research problem, targeting 8–10 questions. Questions should include at least two demographic questions such as age, gender, income, etc. as this is important information to help you with analyzing your data in the next step of this assignment. Also, please include fixed-alternative questions (provide a scale or specific answer options for the respondent to select from). Do not use open-ended questions as these will be difficult to code in the next step. You may find that a survey instrument already exists for your research problem. You may use a previously tested survey but must attribute credit to the survey source. 4. Please submit this assignment as a continuation of your Part 1 submission (with any revisions included from your Part 1 feedback), incorporating your written components into the document in paragraph format (with appropriate section headings). Your paper should now be approximately 1,000-1,200 words. 5. The organization of the Marketing Research Report sections/headings is as follows: Title page, Body of Report (Introduction, Research Problem, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Conclusions and Recommendations), References, Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C. 6. In preparation for Part 3, deploy your survey through the methodology you have outlined and begin collecting your survey data once you have received and incorporated Part 2 assignment feedback. This assignment is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 4. BUSI 331 Marketing Research Report Part 3 Instructions Data Submission Review the Data Collection, Analysis and Reporting section in the Malhotra text and the presentation from Module/Week 4, Presentation: Using Excel for Data Analysis. There will be 2 submissions in this assignment: the Excel file containing the coded data that includes a code guide, and the Marketing Research Report as a continuation of your Part 1 as a Word document. 1. Submit the coded data from your survey results in an Excel file by building an Excel spreadsheet to include every survey question organized by respondent (row) and survey question (column). 2. In order to get the best results from your data analysis, you will need to code your responses that are not already numerical. For example, if your question asked if the respondent was male or female, male=1, and female=2. If it was yes or no question, yes=1, no=2. Please include a code guide with your coded data in the Excel file. Your Excel document submission is your coded data with a code chart to clarify what the numbers stand for. Please note that your data should be numerical and the data should not be manipulated in any way. You can post the Code Guide in Sheet 2 of your Excel document if that is easier for you. As an example, the start of your coded data and code guide could look like this: Respondent Gender Age Q1 1 1 1 1 2 1 2 4 3 2 3 3 4 2 2 5 5 1 3 2 Code Guide: Gender: 1=male, 2=female Age Range: 1=18-24, 2=25-30, etc. Q1 (5 point likert scale): 1=very unlikely, 2=unlikely, 3=neutral, etc. Submit 3 tables that were created in Excel from your data, inclusive of 1 frequency table (called a histogram in Excel) and 2 cross-tabulation tables (called a Pivot Table in Excel). This needs to be relevant information that will directly address your research problem. Please write 150-250 words underneath each individual table that clearly describes what the table is showing and what the inferences are from this table and information in relation to the research problem (for a total of 450-750 words). Turn at least 1 of your tables into a graph (either a bar or pie chart) to show the data from the table. Place this material (three charts/tables and three written discussions of each) as Appendix 2 in your APA-formatted research report Word document, and submit this part as a compilation with your Parts 1 and 2. This assignment is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 6. BUSI 331 Marketing Research Report Part 4 Instructions Project Submission Review the Report Preparation and Presentation chapter in the Malhotra text. This assignment brings together the prior work you have done, and will result in the submission of a complete Marketing Research Study. 1. In your APA-formatted Research Report, incorporate a 350-550 word section titled Results. Here you will include the information you attained from the data analysis during Part 3. Incorporate the appropriate graphs, charts and written analysis here to support your points and discuss how your survey results address your research question (at least two detailed charts/graphs should be incorporated directly into the results section, and at least one must be a cross-tabulation you have created). The Result section follows the Methodology section in the body of the research paper. 2. Include limitations at the end of your results section (such as your respondents were 80% male to 20% female or if you had any issues with your survey process). There should be at least 2 limitations discussed. 3. Submit a Conclusions and Recommendations Section. This section should be 300-500 words that wrap up your research study, and is the place where you discuss any recommendations for the company/issue as a result of the research you completed. Finally, recommend what additional research could be done to further address your research problem. The Conclusions and Recommendations section follows the Results section in the body of the research paper. 4. Amend your Appendix B to include only the charts and graphs that you created, but did not incorporate into your results section. Place your coded survey data and code guide as Appendix C in your APA-formatted Research Report. This assignment is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Friday of Module/Week 7. Hi Corey!
I really do appreciate your views with respect to the inclusion of ethics in marketing and I agree that marketing ethics suggests the inculcation of moral principles in the process. I would also like to mention that the concept of ethics had to introduce because of some manipulative and unethical tactics used by marketers in order to attract customers. If the products fail to perform similar services or functions as presented in the marketing campaigns, it might imply that the marketing was unethical and fake (Komarova Loureiro, Haws & Bearden, 2018).
Exploiting emotional, cognitive or behavioral aspects of the customers would be unethical and marketers have been reported to use these aspects for their benefits (Martin & Murphy, 2017). Further, I agree that gathering customer information to maintain long-term relationship with them could be essential for the marketers; however, it is the responsibility of marketers to prevent the privacy of customers. Rather, I would like to mention that this private information is...
