PROPOSED CONCEPT:



Different approaches has been used in aviation industry to predict the remaining useful life of  aerospace structures. RUL prediction can help to determine the requirements of repair,  replacement of an aerospace structure thereby making sure that the structure operate safely with high safety and reduced risk. In the aircraft lifespan, stresses are mainly generated during  landing and take-off. Due to these stresses, the surface of an aircraft structure undergoes deformation, which leads to crack initiation and subsequent crack growth. The objective of the proposed research work is to predict the remaining useful life of a wing of an aircraft through twice yield method, the stresses will be needed to predict the RUL of a wing of an aircraft  which can be calculated using a finite element software.
