What is God communicating in this passage?
           The central message o
f God is he’s disappointed with the actions of Adam and Eve and communicating this by punishing them along with the snake that was in the garden. God curses the snake’s method of mobility, Eve’s childbearing pain and banishes them from the Garden. Verse 13 reflects the disappointment of God and at the end of the passage it is surprising when God refers himself to us as he says that “man has become like one of us”. The end of the passage shows that God didn’t want the man to possess the knowledge of good and evil, and as soon as they disobeyed him he cast them out so they would not live forever.
