a. River and City Location
The river selected for the study is Red River. This river is also known as Red River of south. The Red River begins in Palo Duro, Canyon near south of Amarillo in Texas. It develops boundary between Texas and Oklahoma, then mover around Arkansas and finally enters in the Louisiana (Encyclopedia Britannica, 2019).
In Louisiana, the river enters to south of Shreveport LA and moves to various locks and dams to finally be merged into Mississippi river. Thus, city selected is Shreveport LA. Shreveport LA is in northwest Louisiana, USA. It is located at 32.53 latitude and -93.75 longitude and 50m above the sea level (World Atlas, 2019).
