Revisit the thought experiment in which we applied a shear stress to a puddle of water with our hand. Suppose the water puddle is initially 1.5 mm thick and that the viscosity of water is 0.001 kg/(m-s). If your hand is applying a shear stress of magnitude 0.10 kg/(m-s2), calculate the shear strain rate, dγ /dt, n the fluid, the velocity gradient, du/dy, in the fluid, and the speed u at which your hand is moving.
