    The two examples of under differentiation made by the MacDonald’s in Brazil that were the worst –
    The first culturally inappropriate marketing was directed towards customers going to the beach, where Rio natives known as cariocas spend a lot of their leisure time. The MacDonald’s came up with the marketing idea that one could eat products of MacDonald’s after taking a dip in the ocean, watching the surfers or at a picnic at the beach. These recommendations were so inappropriate for Brazilian culture that avoided the custom of Brazil such as consumption of cold stuffs, for example cold drinks, beers, ice-creams and eating cheese and ham sandwiches at the beach. Hot and greasy hamburgers are not considered as suitable beach food in Brazil as Brazilian see the ocean as cold and hamburgers are hot, therefore they ignore hot food at the beach. The second uncertain recommendation was to eat hamburgers as a lunch at office whereas Brazilians like to eat their main meal with the business...
