The essays may have different points of view, and can be in agreement or disagreement with the topic question. Your task is to convince the reader of your Essay that your point of view is valid and has merit. To achieve this, the essay will have to show evidence of research, including appropriate use of references to support your claims, good usage of resources (books, papers, online articles and other relevant academic resources) as well as following a clear essay structure with an adherence to the recommended referencing standard. You may include figures, tables or pictures which can provide more detailed information and enhance your discussions. Note: You should link your essay to the Virtual Child International case and your discussions in both of your assignments (1 & 2). Agile system development approach is considered as the most effective and suitable approach in the development of the new Park Management System for Virtual Child International. (While you might agree with this statement, there are several agile methodologies that could be used. Consider and briefly describe at least three Agile methodologies and discuss which of these would be most appropriate in the context of the Virtual Child International case study). 2. Justification of the chosen modelling approach – compare and contrast the structured analysis and design techniques and models with other modelling techniques (e.g., the object-oriented models and techniques), and clearly identify the strengths and weaknesses of each set. Agile software development lifecycle process or methodologies are ideally used in the development of projects where the development team experiences a need of iterative programming i.e.
a new set of requirements or customers feedbacks are incorporated in the design of the successive iteration during development. This approach is quite popular following its capability to address the evolving requirements of the users or the project in order to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction. Scrum is an agile software development framework. The framework is widely used in the software development market owning its capability as a simple yet highly effective development process. (Morien, 2018) Each iteration in Scrum development approach is managed using a product backlog which describes the key features, functional and non-functional requirements it adheres and key objectives for the iteration.
Each iteration is managed by the Product Owner who is responsible for managing all the requirements and then prioritizing them as per the sprint or iteration requirements. On the other hand, the scrum master who also acts as the team leader for the development team is responsible for structuring and managing all the processes that will be executed throughout the scope of the project.
