Can you provide me with an estimate of the proportion of all customers who are worse off (i.e. loss making) using a broker? 7. Some prominent business commentators argue that the average savings on car insurance premiums has gradually declined during the last two years. Paul has asked a number of questions and your Data Analysis output (i.e. your charts/tables/graphs) should be structured such that each question is answered on the separate tab/worksheet provided in your Excel document. There are also extra tabs in CarInsuranceData.xlsx called CI, SampleSize and HT and you should use the various templates contained in these tabs in your “CI_Mean/CI_Proportion”, “SampleSize” and “HT_Mean/HT_Proportion” answers. In order to effectively answer the questions, your Data Analysis output needs to be appropriate. Accordingly, you’ll need to establish which of the following techniques are applicable for each question: • Summary Measures (Descriptive Statistics, Inc. Outlier detection) • Comparative Summary Measures (i.e. Descriptive Statistics for multiple values of a variable) • Suitable tables and charts or graphics (Module One) that will illustrate more clearly, other important features of a variable • Scatter diagrams, Correlation analysis and Cross Tabulations (sometimes called Contingency Tables), used to establish the relationships (dependencies) between two variables • Confidence Intervals: You can assume that a 95% confidence level is appropriate. Where appropriate, make comparisons with other levels of significance (2%, 1%). • Sample size calculation: You can assume that a 95% confidence level is appropriate. You may include comparisons for 90% and 99% and a recommendation for the appropriate sample size. • To answer some questions you may need to make certain assumptions about the data set we are using. Mention these in your data analysis, where relevant. There is no need to mention this in the memo. Note: There is an Appendix at the end of each Chapter of the Prescribed Textbook which describes the basic Excel steps associated with that Topic. Chapters 1 to 9 are applicable for this assessment. I have completed the analysis regarding your objectives and provided data set. I am writing an executive summary and in-dept analysis as two sections of this email reply.
Section 1 - Executive Summary
Most of the in
dividuals are expected to save on car insurance premium in the range of (0$ - 500$). There was a total of only 14% of customers with greater than 500$ savings. 
There is only a 12% chance of no significant difference in the average savings by broker A, B, C, and D. The average amount of savings by broker B was the highest ($262) in a sample of 400 customers.  The broker D has the lowest average savings of $143 only. 
Nearly 85% of the customers belong to the satisfaction rating of neutral or satisfied or very satisfied. Among the satisfaction rating as dissatisfied, neutral, satisfied as well as very satisfied, the percentage of female customers is greater in comparison to the male customers. Among the satisfaction rating as neutral, satisfied as well as very satisfied, the percentage of rural customers is extremely greater in comparison to the urban customers.
There is 70% variation in current insurance premiums which is explained by car value.
I am 95% confident that the estimated average savings for all customers will lie in the interval (199 dollars, 262 dollars).
I am 95% confident that the estimated proportion of all customers who are loss making will lie in the interval (20%, 29%).
The claim of average savings on car insurance premium for all customers is less than 260 dollars is valid at 1%, 2% and 5% confidence levels.

Section 2 - Analysis
Analysis 1:
There are very few customers with a large amount of savings. There are 72 customers out of 400 who do not have any savings but occur a loss instead. Most of the individuals are expected to save on car insurance premium in the range of (0$ - 500$).
There are 68% of the customers who saved in the range of 0$ - 499$. This is followed by 18% of the customers who could not save anything on the car insurance premium but were at a loss. There are approximately 10%, 3% and only 1% of the customers for whom the broker could save $500-$999, $1000-$1499, and $1500-$2000 respectively.
Based on a sample of 400 customers, there are nearly 50% of the customers who saved less than 117$ on their car insurance premium. There are approximately 25% of the customers who saved less than 12 dollars and 25% of the customers who saved greater than 357$. The brokers were able to save a maximum of 1956 dollars of the customer.
