Descriptive statistics
In brief, descriptive analysis helps the user to elaborate and have proper understanding regarding the features of the particular set of data by proving summary notes and relating
the sample and relevant measures relating to the specific data. The most common measures of the descriptive statistics are termed as: mean, median and mode which are put to use at almost every stage of both the subjects those are statistics as well as maths. At the time of calculating mean the average of all the figures is calculated by adding all the figures present in the set and then diving the sum by the number of figures in the whole set. Median denotes the middlemost number in the data set and mode is the number which is appearing most in the whole data set. This help in the analysis of data on the basis of the characerstics of different data that are as given follows:
1. Central Tendency Measure: This allows the measure of data with the help of mean, median, mode. This always allow the data and locate them on various point on distribution curve. This is generally used when the average data is need to be measure.
2. Frequency Measure: This allows the measure of data with the help of Frequency, count and percentage.     It generally shows the items that how much they generally occur in their functional tendency. This is used when the data need to analyse that how often they occur in their life cycle.
3. Position Measure: This allows the measure of data with the help of Quartile rank and percentile ranks. It generally related two different scores of the rank series that are always be an standard results. This is used when the users need to compare the score of the given data with the standard score.
Inferential statistics
Where the descriptive type of statistics is used to understand the data, inferential statistics allows the users to make appropriate predictions using the available data. In this type of statistics, people extract the sample from the data and after due analyses make...
