management system and evaluate suitability for a particular work or organisational context for an organisation you work for, or a simulated business.
You must firstly establish the context of the knowledge management system and then determine its effectiveness.
Answer the following questions to establish the parameters of the current system in place.

What is the most valuable knowledge in the company?
Is the most valuable knowledge of the company written down, or is it in the minds of the employees and experts?
How can improving the way information is shared save time and money?
Where is the KM strategy and KM practices currently linked to the business strategy?
Do people in the organisation share information and collaborate effectively? What are the barriers to collaboration? How can these barriers be broken down to improve knowledge exchange?
What rules, policies and guidance have been established to help or disrupt knowledge flow?
How are key documents organised for people to get the information they need, when they need it to do their jobs?
How are documents managed? How Is organisational knowledge managed? What is the difference between the two?
What is the difference between Information Management and Knowledge Management in the said organisation?
What processes are in place to assess, organise, validate, manage, integrate and transfer knowledge? Where these are processes listed and mapped? Is it accessible by everyone? How can employees be trained to perform these processes?
How are business processes enabled by technology?
Is there resistance to new systems (technology) and processes? If so, why?
What collaboration and sharing behaviours are encouraged
Is there time allocated and space provided for employees to collaborate and share knowledge?
Are meetings effective? How can meetings be improved?
Explain the process of documenting an organisational Knowledge Management System by using an electronic tool.
Provide recommendations for improvements to the Knowledge Management System discussed in the previous question.
Describe implement plan for a professional development and training program to teach employees how to use the system.
