CMSC 100 - Design document Date: 1/16/20 Name: Rohan Saxena Synopsis Briefly summarize your story My story will be about Chicken Little. He will have an acorn fall on his head, and then tell others the sky is falling. At the end of the scene, everyone will tell the chicken it was only the acorn. Include a pseudocode 1. Chicken walks into scene 2. Says it’s going to be a great day 3. Acorn falls on chicken’s head 4. Chicken panics and deduces sky is falling 5. Chicken warns others and says what occurred 6. People follow him to the scene where the acorn fell 7. When arriving on the scene, everyone sees there is no danger 8. They spot the acorn and tell the chicken the world is not ending, it was only an acorn 9. People leave the scene 10. While alone, another acorn falls on chicken’s head 11. Scene fades to black signaling the end Why did you pick this story? What potential did identify for using your programming skills? As a kid I enjoyed the movie Chicken Little, and found the story to be interesting, I can also relate to chicken because even I jump to conclusions too early. Scenery, actors, props What actors, scenes, and props will you use to illustrate your story? Remember that you can use shapes to make your own props. Actors: Chicken as main character, and I will use various animals to represent extras/other actors. Props: Nut or acorn, if I can’t import a 3D nut or acorn, I will create a sphere like object to represent the acorn. Scenery: One scene will be forest, another will be a suburban neighborhood with homes, and the other scene will be by a lake. List three actions you plan to use Ex: birds fly, the prince kneels, etc. (1 point) 1. Chicken walking 2. Having chicken fly or flap its wings 3. Other characters will also be walking into scene and walking out How will you make it interactive? What type of interaction are you considering? User can control dialog/what the chicken says in certain parts. For example, answering yes or no questions. Conditional decisions. What control structures will you use? Do Together Count loop Each in Together For Each In While Loop, If else I will use do together, count loop, and while loop. What sounds will you use? Narration Sound effects music I will use sound effects to emphasize certain actions such as acorn dropping. How will you represent items in your story not available in Alice? (Billboards, substitute characters?) I will use billboards or somehow figure out a way to import sketches into the alice environment. Include a Flowchart to show how your program will flow Make use of flowchart shapes in MS Word. Go to Insert>Shapes>Flowchart Chicken walks into scene Acorn falls on chicken’s head Chicken concludes sky is falling Chicken warns others about sky falling A A Characters follow chicken to the acorn dropping scene Characters spot no danger and only an acorn Character tells chicken an acorn fell on his head End Storyboard (10+ frames) Major events, scene changes, and dialog. https://www.storyboardthat.com/ Drawings are acceptable Other Information Other information that you may want to add to complete the description of your project None that I can think of CMSC 100 - Design document Date: 1/16/20 Name: Rohan Saxena Synopsis Briefly summarize your story My story will be about Chicken Little.
