Introduction
Motivation is a kind of inner feelings, which guides and perpetuates the goal-oriented behavior. It controls our cognitive, social, biological and emotional feelings that forces to maintain and energies our behavior. On the other hand, emotion is that inner strong feelings, which arise in any circumstances and these affects our mood as well as relationship (Crivelli & Fridlund, 2019).
Both motivation and emotion has certain theories approached by several psychologists as well as philosophers. It demonstrates our gestures, modifies cultural values, inculcates several positive outlook, controls our mood and temperament and justifies our behavior. Therefore, motivation stimulates a person to act and behave properly in order to achieve a desire goal and emotion is thereby emerged from that motive itself.
Theory of Motivation
Motivation is that particular state of mind, which energies and provides a freshness or liveliness in a person towards their life. This particular feeling thereby transforms a negative oriented and disheartened person into a positive and productive mentality. Therefore, in every organization, the team leaders should adopt all the theories of motivation in order to encourage the other workers to work effectively. There are several theories of motivation, which produces a great understanding level on the behavior of the people and how motivation actually guided them. Here we will discuss about Maslow’s Hierarchy of Need Theory.
According to Hopper (2019), Abraham Maslow put forward certain needs, through which the people get motivated. First are the physiological needs, which according to Maslow determine the physical needs such as drinking, eating and sleeping, without which a human being cannot even survive. If this need is not fulfilled properly then that person will not able to concentrate on any other activities except satisfying hunger.
Second is the safety need, which is needed to protect ourselves from unhealthy atmosphere. Children needed the most secured and safety environment to survive as they can react with fear and anxiety if met dangerous and dreadful kind of person. Third is the love and belongingness need is needed in order to remove all the negativity from a person thereby creating a strong and trustworthy relationship. Fourthly, needs of self-esteem feeling, can remove our inferiority and can provide us a self-confidence to build a self-identity. The final one is self-actualization, which thereby proves our inner quality, thus, providing us with the potentiality to achieve the determined goal.
