Information / Materials provided: Approval to Proceed Template Assessment Criteria: This is the first part of the assessment for this unit. This assessment will assess your ability to develop the project initiating documentation as well as to determine the project authorisation and accountabilities for your chosen project. Number of Attempts: You will receive up to two attempts at this assessment task. Should your 1st attempt be unsatisfactory (U), your teacher will provide feedback and discuss the relevant sections / questions with you and will arrange a due date for the submission of your 2nd attempt. If your 2nd submission is unsatisfactory (U), or you fail to submit a 2nd attempt, you will receive an overall unsatisfactory result for this assessment task. Instructions for the Assessor Each student is to undertake this assessment in their own time and must submit it as their own work by the designated due date. All information, templates and resources have been provided to each student. If a student requires an extension, then they must negotiate this with their assessor prior to the due date. Note to Student An overview of all Assessment Tasks relevant to this unit is located in the Unit Study Guide. Task 1.1 – Prepare the Approval to Proceed Document Note: This task is to take the place of Task 1.1 – Establish Project from BSBPMG521 – Manage Project Integration. If this is an active project, then you should complete this with your project sponsor. If not, then you will have to complete it yourself. This document will take the place of the Project Charter (an important project initiation document) and must be approved by your assessor before you can progress any further with your chosen project. Your assessor will approve this document if they feel there is sufficient information to enable you to write the detailed project plan. Therefore, it is best to get this document in early to give you time to develop the rest of the project plan required to complete this diploma qualification. Note: You will need to delete all green guiding comments prior to submitting your Approval to Proceed document. Once approved, you will be able to begin preparing your Scope Management Plan and Change Management Plan (see Task 2.2 and Task 2.3 in AT2. Task 1.2 – Conduct Project Authorisation Activities This task is co-assessed with Task 1.2 from BSBPMG520 – Manage Project Governance.
