African-Americans were discriminated by racism constantly in America by the white skinned Americans. White Americans had the perception that the Negros were worth of enslavement and they did not belong to America. This perception had increased the discriminative mentality towards Negros among the white Americans. Especially, the African-American had to face troubles for the discriminations caused by racism and gender biasness. American society was patriarchal in the 18th century. Women were not empowered and were not well known about their worth. Women had to face discriminations because of gender biasness. In the case of African-American woman they had to face more discrimination. They were enslaved by the white Americans. After 18th century may be slavery had gone for African-American women but they still now were struggling to prohibit gender biasness and racism towards them. In this assignment we will study about the struggle of African-American women in different periods in America.

The author had travelled back in the time of 18th century in America. American society was patriarchal in the 18th century. Men thought that women were only worth of doing household chores. Especially the African-American women had to face patriarchy more. When the author’s father had called up the women in house then all the women got ready quickly. Women did not have the freedom to speak up about their feelings. They felt shy to speak up about their feelings. Having feelings for someone is a crime then for women. When the author told her sister about her crush on a man her sister giggled and felt very shy. White Americans enslaved the Negros in the 18th century in America. White skinned Americans felt that the Negros were only worth of enslavement. White Americans were very racist towards the Negros. Children were not exempted of this racism. In the assignment we can see that many Negro children were working as slaves in the plantation.
