Review the Module 7 lecture section on The Results and Discussion Sections in the Research Proposal for a brief overview pertaining to "how to" complete the assignment.


1. Introductory section: Include hypothesis and a review of the literature.


2. Methodology section: Include subsections on Participants, Apparatus/Materials/Instruments, Procedure, and Design.


3. Results section: Include statistic, critical values, degrees of freedom, and alpha level.

Introduction
Child abu
se comes into picture when guardian or parents through their actions or failure
of act causes injury, emotional harm, death or risk of serious harm to a child. There are many
forms of child maltreatment which includes exploitation, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, physical
abuse and neglect. It happens in range of reasons and range of situations. There is continuous
reporting of abusing by the children now days. They feel that they get neglected by their
guardians and parents. Many of these children run away from their homes in order to safeguard
themselves from harassment. All these children who leave their families and homes have same
concern that there is nobody who takes care of them. Many of these finally commit suicide but
there are many rehabilitation centers provided by the government who consider these children.
This paper will discuss effect of different forms of abuse on children. (Felicia Gould, 2012)
Hypothesis
1. Abused children decides to commit suicide in order to avoid the trouble they are
facing
2. Abused children decide to run away from their homes in order to safeguard
themselves from any sort of punishment
Literature Review
US Department of Health and Human Services, 2013 claims that child abuse is becoming
a serious problem day by day which needs immediate actions. The report also highlighted the
number of children who are getting abused in some form or the other, intentionally or
unintentionally. This is all happening due to egocentric behavior of people is increasing.
Effects of Child Abuse – Research Proposal

Widom CS (2015) pointed few incidents where parents and guardians were responsible
for abusing children. The study has been conducted on these guardian and parents to understand
the reasons why they abuse children. The research showed that the poverty is one of the major
reasons of the abuse. Secondly, there are no set guidelines or method in which parents or
guardian should behave with their children. There were other cases in which the relatives of the
children were abuser after the death of the parents. These relatives were having their personal
interest from these children which finally led them to abuse these children. The abuse which
these children face includes sexual abuse, physical abuse, poor parental guidance and basic
needs. (John W. Pierce, 2006)
