The need for the maintenance of the nutrient value in the case of chi
ldren is huge. The proper proportion of the protein, fat, carbohydrate, and vitamins are needed to be maintained. Depending upon the age of the child the proper amount of food is being provided in the care.
The food contains an adequate amount of protein, fat, carbohydrates, calcium, iron, etc. are being provided. A plenty amount of vegetables, legumes, cereals, fruits including milk, juice, and yogurt are also being provided over time in case of meet the demand of the nutrient of an individual child. Apart from those the adequate amount of water is also being provided in case of balance the water level in the body.

In case of helping the child in toileting there is a need for a few concerns. It is needed to encourage the child to use the toilet in case of need. Helping the child in changing the cloths is the most important part of it. Sealing those cloths and sending those to the home for cleaning is also the duty to help the child. Teaching children to wash their hands after the event of the toilet is also a responsibility.
Scenario 2
As Nikea is quite regular that means she is quite familiar with the environment of the center. Here in this case as a concerned staff I would like to take her inside the room where all the children are already in. I would like to divert her mind by providing stuff and toys of her liking and through fruitful communication I would like to build a link of understanding her feelings.
In the case of Jack, I will make sure that his child is safe and comfortable with us. I will let allow him to see his child whenever he wants to. And assurance of positive thoughts will be conveyed to Jack.
The other staff also can help in this case by talking to Jack regarding Nikea’s playful activity and providing another important facility to Nikea in case of making her happy and comfortable.
In the case of a new arrival, there is a step of introducing that kid to the others. And providing affectionate attitude the kids are being treated by all the staff. Various foods and toys are available in case of making the kid comfortable and safe.

Routine for sleep and rest and environment
Proper sleep and rest are necessary for the growth and development of all the children. Taking care of this part of concern every parent is being asked about the sleep habits of their children. After getting the overview of the habit of the kids the proper environment is being created for them in case of providing the intense care and service. In NSW all the care centers are aware of this fact and take the necessary approach regarding the baby care service.
Toileting and nappy changing
One of the most common jobs in any baby care center is to help the kids in toileting and nappy changing. In NSW in most of the cares allow the baby to use the toilet instead of using the diaper. The kids are being helped by providing the necessary help such as changing clothes, washing hands properly and cleaning themselves to maintain hygiene. Apart from that the toddlers are also being helped by changing the nappy after the event of the toilet. All the clothes of the kids are being sealed and carefully wrapped in plastic and being sent to the house for cleaning.
Personal hygiene
Babies are being taught to maintain personal hygiene to be clean. Babies are being helped and taught in taking a bath regularly and washing their body parts properly. Here the essential foods with the higher nutritional values are being provided. The proper proportion of the essential elements of the food particles are being maintained here. Following the Australian Dietary Guidelines, the amount and the types of food are being provided to their children in case of maintaining the development and wellbeing. The Infant feeding guideline is also followed here in case of the feed of the child.
Cloth /dressing understanding
All individual children have a personal liking and dressing choice after a certain age. The dressing can be done in accordance with their choice and the type of dress also can be decided to depend upon the circumstance. In the case of the infant or the toddler the assigning staff needs to be concern enough. Depending upon the external as well as the internal environment the dress should be chosen. In the case of changing the dress of the kids, the staff remains concerned. They generally taught the kids and help them in changing clothes. Through the clothing also the shelf help characteristic can be developed among the children.
Settling in arrival, departure transition
A record of attendance of the children and the records of the signing in and signing off of the children in the center is being maintained by the authority. A concerned staff is there in case of tracking all the records. The signature and identity proof are being kept by the staff of the guardian who is coming to drop and receive the child. In the case of verifying the attendance of all the children in the center the sign-in sheet is being checked properly by the staff.
Physical activities
There is a certain need for physical activity for each of the children in case of the proper mental as well as physical growth and development. According to the Australian guideline, certain listed physical activities are essential for the proper growing health of the children. For the children of the 0 to 1 year age group, there is a need for at least 30 minutes of the physical exercise in a day. And for the children of age group 1 to 5 years at least 3 hours of physical exercise are needed. For maintaining those fitness criteria there is a need for a proper environment and facilities.
Task 2
In accomplishing this part of the task a preschooler age group child has been chosen.
As the child is a preschooler here is an immense need for the proper environment in case of the development of the child. Let’s assume the child is 3 years old. The early childhood education of the child starts from this preschool. The environment with the positive hives needed to develop the personality of the child. There is a need of providing a playful environment to develop knowledge and skills.
In case of developing the independence of the child there is a need of a proper teaching. Maintenance of personal hygiene and self-help is to be taught in order to lead them in the first step of independence. There is a need for a playing atmosphere to make the child habituated in personal care such as washing the hands, tooth brushing, taking regular baths, taking care of nails and hair.
The mental and emotional growth of the child can be seen in this age group. Here in case of understanding the emotions of the child there is a need of providing the respect of their views and opinion regarding any event.
