The key term in statistics is the use of random variables in order to deal with the mathematical terms we need to quantify the various events occurring around us using some function .Random variables is such a function which associates the parametric space to the real number line. Let us take an example of the experiment of tossing a coin for hundred times then there are the two possible outcomes which may occur either head or tail may occur, now say our interest is in head then we define X as a random variable which gives the number of heads .So here X is the function which actually associated the event to a real number line and thus the other mathematical operations can be applied with it.
Now there can be the case of discrete or continuous random variable. When the random variable takes the values point wise then such a random variable is called as discrete random variable .On the other hand we have the random variables which deals with the continuous inputs then such random variables are referred as the continuous random...
