In this individual assessment, students will be given an opportunity to evaluate project management software for overall project performance and compliance with quality standards. Assessment Instructions • Evaluate 5 current project management software options and explain the benefits and shortcomings of each. • Explain how the software addresses the requirements of the 3 stages of a project plan, as stated in the brief above. • Use screenshots of the software examples you have chosen to assist in explaining your opinions. • Prepare slides as if presenting, although you will only be handing in a presentation. Productboard is an advanced product management software available to cater the
organisational needs (Productboard, 2020).
Benefits:
Productboard is an advanced application that provides a lot features for the users.
The software is useful for small, medium as well as for large-scale organisations. The
notable features are task man
agement, telepathic SMS, status monitoring, Gantt
chart, templates, video calling, cloud storage, customisable boards and many more.
With respect to the features offered, the software is also price reasonably at $49 per
month per user and $99 per month for team application. Also, for first fifteen days all
the products are available for free to try to choose the best product. The customer
service is also excellent so that during any situation the solution will be available
(Productboard, 2020).
Drawbacks:
Productboard has many features that are user friendly, however there are some
shortcomings, which must be addressed, or some features must be included in the
future updates. The inclusion of some common file formats like pdf, doc, and xls must
be included for ease of work. In addition, the user accessibility must be eased due to
the bulkiness of the software (Productboard, 2020).

Use of Software in Three Stage Planning:
The software has a number of features that will help in the project management task.
The road-mapping feature will help in deciding the layout of the project. The custom
weighted prioritising scores will help in giving priority to the task that need to be
addressed at the moment. Various types of templates and charts will help in planning
and preparing the blueprint if the project. With the help of video conferencing, the
team members will be able to discuss about the project and also the client can
participate in the video conferencing and based on that the project requirements will
be addressed. The feature loaded task management application will then finally able
to form a complete layout of the project and then it can be implemented. During the
entire process, the tracking will be kept to monitor the progress of the project

Meister task is an advanced project management software that caters the
organisational requirements for project handling (Meister Task, 2019).
Benefits:
Meister Task is providing a whole set of features for the users for the project planning
and management. The software provides a range of features like activity dashboard,
collaborative workspace, project tracking, project workflow, task planning, task
scheduling, charts, templates, communication channels and many more features that
aid in preparing and working on a project. The cloud storage feature and availability
on the mobile platform also is quite helpful regarding the work for the user. The app
is also available at a reasonable price with the basic version is available for free and
the subscription version is available for $20 per month per user (Meister Task, 2019).
Drawbacks:
Meister Task has some issues that may create problem for the user. The layout or the
setup of the software is fixed. The workflow cannot be done based on the custom
choice as the pre-installed setup and features are available for doing the work.
However, apart from that, there are no such shortcomings that could create problem
for users (Meister Task, 2019).
