As part of the formal assessment for the programme you are required to submit a Managing Self and Others report and reflective blog. Please refer to your Student Handbook for full details of the programme assessment scheme and general information on preparing and submitting assignments.

Your assignment should include: a title page containing your student number, the module name, the submission deadline and the exact word count of your submitted document; the appendices if relevant; and a reference list in AU Harvard system(s). Assignment Task



Consider the content and theory that you have learnt in the Module - Managing Self and



Others and apply this to answer the following questions: Question 1 - Career Development and Lifelong Learning



a. Create your own individual PDP that shows evidence of your development achieved in the past 12 months and applies your planned development for the next 12 months.



To achieve this, you must demonstrate how you manage yourself. This should include how you manage stress, positive thinking and assertiveness to produce your own career development plans. You should create plans for goal setting, a personal skills audit and a personal SWOT. From this, you can then create your PDP.



Within your PDP include examples and evidence that demonstrate advanced learning methods, learning resources, learning timescales, expected outcomes and any necessary communications that may support your learning and development. Please read Lesson 3 Career Development, Future Planning and Reflective Practice for information on how to complete your skills audit, SWOT and PDP.

b. Produce an illustrated report that assesses how strategies for skills development and lifelong learning may enable career development for you and your team colleagues.



To achieve this, evaluate concepts associated with career development strategies in order to consider how the skills and career development of employees through integrated personal development planning may support employee motivation and, ultimately, employee retention and progression.

a. Create your own blog to produce a concise summary to answer the following:



How may high performance people be developed by effective performance management?



To achieve this, you must undertake a series of postings and exchanges using either the ilearn Discussion Forum (with students) or your own blog site (with work colleagues) using examples from your workplace or previous experience. It will be important to engage with other students or colleagues from as early as week 2 of this module to promote collaborative learning and gain different perspectives.



The blog content should be pasted into an appendix and referred to in your summary.

Personal Development Plan
This personal development plan proposes self-analysis and a personal reflection with the honest appraisal of my strength and weaknesses that are relevant to the development of my career and other career objectives and goals. This also enables me to evaluate the value of leadership and management training that I have received and have effectively considered these two words are cohesive future leadership development. Presently I am pursuing my graduation and would like to serve in a data analyst company to striving a career as a data scientist. This is a graduate program and is effectively
focusing on learning different skills that are relevant for organization management along with the prospects and the technical skills that are required in terms of serving as the data analysis.
I have also been working in a telecommunication company. The experience that I have received in this particular company will extremely help me in the future and this will encourage my managerial leadership and management development program which will be quite important in the letter prospects of my career. It is also relevant to contemplate that the present employer is supportive and reasonably flexible in making allowances and for the additional time off work to complete all my relevant studies and training modules. Once I get a proper qualification from the institution in which I am presently studying I will be offered more responsibility as conveyed by the employer. This particular section is relevant for developing my development plan that will effectively consider the goals that I am going to set forward in terms of my career development opportunities. This will also contemplate the SWOT analysis of my courier and my prospects for growth. This section will also be effective in terms of the personal skills audit and the objectives which are relevant for the growth of the career.

    Strength
My Personal Administration for working as well as pursuing graduation is good enough and these are effective in terms of acquiring basic skills and detailed knowledge that is very sound that will effectively help in my level of training as a data analyst. I also have confidence in myself that I will be successful in terms of getting experience while working in a telecommunication company and pursuing graduation simultaneously. All though it is very much hectic I can cope with the freshers of the learning as well as my work. Even though I feel that I suffer from sleep deprivation yet I think this hard work is very much important to get to the position which I want. I was assessed to be composed during the practical work and provided a clear direction and got good grades in that particular work.
    Weakness
Although it is difficult to maintain a work life balance and maintain my physical fitness standard during my academic studies as a result which I have lost in terms of physical fitness. Working and getting an education at the same time provides very little time to give me enough for exercise and other element prospects that are relevant to physical fitness. I always need more time in planning a task only before briefing it to my colleagues or before starting a particular program for the programs in the training session in the classes. My understanding of the estimate planning process is still superficial in places and requires more detail. To build my confidence in comment more experiences of team management in different scenarios.
    Opportunities
Having the opportunity to walk in a company as well as carry on my education is one of the most important aspects that I have acquired. This was effective because I demonstrated the ability that high has to provide a clear direction and manage my every aspect in order to get into the position that I want. I also have experience that I do have the capability of managing other people around me and try to complete a specific task in terms of pressure.
Demonstrate to my employer that I have had both structured management and leadership training in my organization and also focus on acquiring more relevant aspects for the field of data analysis. I would also like to highlight that I have been exposed to a more structured approach in terms of analysing a problem that will assist me in providing a clear solution and help me how to value the quality of work to the company.
This will also effectively provide space for revival in a hectic business environment to achieve a better work-life balance and allow me to be refreshed and more focused at work. I also call upon support from the managers to give me guidance on personal development.
    Threats
The major threats that I have been pursuing are the work-life balance and the aspects of keeping up my good physical fitness which is one of the most important aspects that I face. Financial aspects are another important aspect that I do have a concern with for retrieving my future development for the career of a data analyst.
Career Goals
Short Term Goals
Complete the graduation in the data analysis course and statistical analysis within the two-year time frame in order to become eligible for engagement in complex business project activities that requires an effective data analysis approach.
Medium Term Goals
Be given the responsibility for leading and managing a small team in the company in which I am presently working or in another company if I do get up better opportunity in support of a challenging business project. Engaging in a supporting function of a cross-functional project team will give me significant experience and exposure.
Long Term Goals
Gaining promotion to middle management and gaining the support of work colleagues and senior managers. For managing a large team of direct reports and a number of teams. Work towards being a senior data analyst.
Strategies for Development
Greater depth of knowledge of leading in the business external activities that are related to data analysis and data science. Completing the machine learning courses and the training and the young manager's development program that will effectively be important in terms of pursuing a career in management as well as contemplating the prospects of data management. I would also like to effectively get to know my department as a team and rebuild their confidence and trust in me. I would also like to identify the key training opportunities in the data science and business forecast events and effectively focus on my work and the graduation course to develop a sound understanding of the work culture as well as the theoretical perspective that are relevant to the data analysis background. I also like to learn from the observation what will be effective in the work environment and the company presently where I am working. This will also provide me the effective consideration for widening my understanding of leadership and data management which will effectively help me to comply with a senior manager position in communication or the data science industry.
