This product goes through mass production system which involves use of information and sequencing of facilities and machineries. Process planning, scheduling and design are independent tasks. The design of planning process is also referred as process layout in which departments, equipment, or work centres are arranged according to their function. The main advantage of process layout is equipment’s are used individually. For instance, if one part in the system has issues down then the production will not halt in between. It allows flexibility to manage various products in small batch size. Comparison According to textbook process planning involves organizing of tasks to perform work. In job shop the tasks are not performed at one place. It companies bring their employees with different skills sets togethers at the platform of virtual organizations. Job shops offer different range of outputs in possible way like batches, which can be done through individualized processing with in and out of functionally specialized departments. Identical equipment’s are present with skilled labours to produce customized outputs for customers. In this changing world the digitization of process through big data driven interventions has helped the network of job-shops in value creation. Through Internet of Manufacturing (IoM) the integration of product life cycle management and operational robustness can be achieved. Data analysis can be done through smart applications which supports predictive maintenances and smart planning process. they help in diagnosing faults at technical level with their deeper impacts and use data integration, sensors, analysis and finally the improvement in design to optimize the production. The planning process considers operational data for quality supervision at job shop and enhances prompt order delivery. Therefore, it can be said that job shop process planning is a study of precedent relationships between operations, machines, and other factors to make manufacturing feasible. Article summary The article “Process Planning, Scheduling, and Layout Optimization for Multi-Unit Mass-Customized Products in Sustainable Reconfigurable Manufacturing System” is written by Gao, Daaboul and Duigou. With changing trends, the product complexity is increasing, and it is required to improve the performance of manufacturing systems in concern with environmental issues. The layout of job-shop or manufacturing location needs to be dynamic in accordance with process planning so that within less time mass production can be achieved. Authors suggested MINLP model, which is a multi-objective mathematical model in which through Pareto efficiency solutions were created. The study was conducted for small scale and to test the same theory the author felt that large- scale numerical analysis needs to be done. The production layout needs a fundamental understanding to plan the process to obtain maximized efficiency. The authors also felt that there is absence of continuous approach so that manufacturing systems can be reconfigured. The manufacturing systems are shifting to renewable sources of energy and to enhance the operational decision-making real-time algorithms and novel strategies are being used. This is followed by planning in scheduling because separating it from planning process is invariable. Biblical integration God’s law states that love is harmless and to fulfil law it is required ((Romans 13:10). Love cannot destroy but it is a direction to live a fulfilled life (Matthew 5:17-18). It is important to follow the law and believe in God (Ecclesiastes 12:13). The topic job shop process planning, and design is a direction to arrange the machineries, equipment, and other utilities at manufacturing site so that different or varied products can be accommodated at one location. It aims at utilizing the machineries to the fullest so that maximized or fulfilled production can be achieved. This plan is not to destroy the current setup but to re-arrange it for enhanced operational output to increase gains in business. Application Job shop process planning, and design is being aggressively used in manufacturing industry as at the forefront employees is working with material and at the backend the product is being getting ready. For instance, a glass-store customize the glasses for the customers. They have wide variety of spectacles frame for each customer. The customer chooses from the frame and then they choose their preferred glass. They collect blueprint, prepare material, and cut the glass, give it required shape and varnish the frame for shine. This involved planning the process and designing the customization at the same time. Annotated Bibliography Cao, Y., & Shi, H. (2021). An adaptive multi-strategy artificial bee colony algorithm for integrated process planning and scheduling. IEEE Access, 9, 65622-65637. The article stresses that process planning, and scheduling are two independent tasks but without each other manufacturing systems cannot work. they are helpful in enhancing the productivity and resources so that lead time in production can be reduced to minimum. The article clarified job shop flexibilities and reflected that many of technical issues were manipulated by the experts. The researchers highlighted those issues and guided that how innovation can be part of process planning and scheduling. The mathematical model developed by the authors increase the practical application in manufacturing units and guides in optimizing production. Fechter, M., Seeber, C., & Chen, S. (2018). Integrated process planning and resource allocation for collaborative robot workplace design. Procedia CIRP, 72, 39-44. The planning process will only be effective when resources are allocated optimistically. The conventional assembly line is no longer in use and new and digitised job shops are created. They are networked also to increase the communication and keep a track on products and customization. The article reflects on human and robot collaboration thus focusing on deign of job shop and hybrid model and approaches to automate capabilities and allocating tasks through variety of combinations. It also encourages to focus on scheduling so that human fatigue and maintenance of robots are not an issue in production maximization. Prasetyo, H., Sugiarto, Y., & Rosyidi, C. N. (2018, February). Design of an automatic production monitoring system on job shop manufacturing. In AIP Conference Proceedings (Vol. 1931, No. 1, p. 030021). AIP Publishing LLC. The article reflects the design aspect of job shop which is automated in nature and how production systems are monitored to achieve desired efficiency and production. The main stress is on monitoring system which during planning process was a central theme. The transportation within job shop, controlling lead time in manufacturing and delivering the order in timely manner to customers is the key feature of job shop. This requires extensive monitoring to meet the timelines. References for article Gao, S., Daaboul, J., & Le Duigou, J. (2021). 1. Key Concept Explanation:
When it comes to tracking the origins of content, blockchain technology is a powerful tool. Real-time applications in finance, security, and medicine are made possible by the immutability of data stored on a Blockchain. Potentially significant and transformative technology because it enhances productivity and prevents fraud, as we
ll as providing extendable access to many other types of applications. The use of a blockchain network might speed up research, increase manufacturing, and improve the security of healthcare information.Sustainable medicine manufacturing also can be enforced with blockchain. If errors are found, it can be identified and tracked back to their source.Nodes, blocks and miners are the 3major elements of the blockchain.Implementation of blockchain technology into healthcare systems, covering all areas of privacy, security, and patient and digital medical data accessibility. In this digital age, the health sector is rapidly adopting blockchain technology.
2. Comparison:
Better data exchange between healthcare providers improves diagnosis, treatment, and cost-efficiency. Digital healthcare infrastructure will be affected. System lacks security and interoperability. Portable and interoperable medical data must be used. EHRs store patient history, prognosis, medications, treatment plans, immunisation dates, allergies, lab and radiographic images. EHR data volume has grown. Physicians, hospitals, insurance companies, and patients utilise, edit, and review EHRs. EHRs are used in primary care consultation rooms to capture and retrieve patient records, as well as online health records and decision-making tools. Telemedicine and virtual consultations improved.Theodouli, Arakliotis, Moschou, Votis, and Tzovaras said interoperability is EHRs' worst problem (2018). Data security, institution data exchange, and lifestyle and wellness data integration are also limited. Smart cards for patients can aid with accessibility, but security problems persist.S. Hussain, T. Ariyachandra, and M. Frolick say blockchain-based data management integrates healthcare data (2016).Therapeutic benefits include less medical and pharmaceutical errors, enhanced sickness management, increased care, patient recognition (due to queued data being delivered to addresses rather than patients), and control keys. Data provenance, privacy, and interoperability are addressed
1) Medical chain- According to this (A. R. Rajput 2019), this is the first medical provider to use blockchain equipment to allow preserve and use ehr system in order to create a unique and innovative telehealth service.
2) Gem- According to A. Farouk, A. Alahmadi, S. Ghose, and A. Mashatan(2020), the business Gem has collaborated also with "Centers for Disease Control and Prevention" to check the usage of block chain system to keep contagious diseases illnesses, and to provide such visibility and authority to their patient records and genome information through the use of blockchain initiative.
3) BurstIQ- The BurstIQ platform guides healthcare organizations in handling huge quantities of medical data in a secure and productive way. With blockchain initative, data can be maintained, traded, swapped, or leased while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act standards.
3. Article Summary:
Providers hold patient data in silos. Electronic health records (EHRs) have been constructed episode by episode due to a lack of linkages, common architectures, and standards, without considering the links required for a lifetime record or the multiple service providers. No system exists to share information with patients. When health care is provided, the...
